…Falcons, especially Saker Falcons, were one of the renowned species of UAE. Each bird used to illegally trade for millions…
…Since most of the species died through illegal experiments or hunting, only the fastest animal on the planet was able to survive, next to some marine creatures…
…There was one Saker though, which the breeders refused to sell or even list to the buyers…
…Even though all the Falcons were unnamed, he was the only one with a name. That was because of the most magnificent 7 year old Saker Falcon, with his mind as sharp as his beak named Gusty…
…His exalted coat & unique speed made him the perfect descender of the Arabian Falcons Saker Family…
…All this went continuously smoothly for two years, day in and day out…
…Gusty became exhausted and was not producing enough results. Hence, the exploiters, being the heartless people they were, planned to use steroids on him…
…On the evening of 11-11-2102, when Gusty should be transported from his cage, he saw this moment as his one and only chance to escape…
…He flew with his sharp beak towards the control panel and made sure to hit it so hard that a significant amount of the cage-door flew open…
…That evening, 786 SAKER FALCONS including Gusty escaped the smugglers den and soared through the rusty cold desert, in an effort to find a new and secure home, and restore their species to their former Glory & Potential…
…The story of Gusty, is awe-inspiring and dystopic, but even today in 2022, hundreds of Saker Falcons like Gusty, are illegally poached, kept in cages and hunted for recreation…
…Their species is declining by the minute to an extent that there are only 2000 Saker Falcons left in this world before they join the ranks of Spix’s Macaws(The macaws from Rio), who’re now officially extinct in the wild…
